I normally wouldn’t be drawn to a podcast about exercise, but Jess has done it again. Fascinating moment in history.
LOVED Jess’ Fire Island podcast series (please add new eps, an epilogue?!); and she’s done it AGAIN! What a story teller, love you & your work! (Heard abt this pod on Fixing Famous People, where Jess is also hilarious!)
I usually love these types of podcasts, but this one was a struggle to listen to. I only made it to episode 4. I’m not sure what might make this story or its “characters” compelling, especially to anyone outside this spin community. It sounds any other fitness craze/fad.
2 Things:
1. It ended SO abruptly…super weird!
2. The story as a whole felt kind of disorganized and maybe a bit one-dimensional? Could just be me- still very entertaining stories…I just think there were a lot of interesting themes that were begging to be woven in with more depth and meaning… could have really had a lasting impact on listeners. It’s in there…just not tied together and offered in a clear way.
