  • Needs Editing

I can’t quite finish the episode I was listening to, not because the content isn’t interesting, but because I can’t focus on the guest as the host repeatedly interrupts with “mm hmm, yup! “Ahhh” “yeahhh”, “mmm”, so much that it feels like an SNL skit. I’m little lost in the content as well which is helpful stuff but feels really unorganized to me as a listener. The show has a lot of promise , but could use editing and structure.

  • Great content; execution needs a little tweaking

This podcast and the Curable app are fantastic and have been very helpful in my chronic pain journey. Love all the guests and the different perspectives and areas of expertise they bring. My one criticism is for the host and her interview style - while the empathetic sounds and words she makes when agreeing with or appreciating what the interviewee is saying translate well in person, it is, for lack of a better word, offputting as a podcast listener. Occasional words of agreement or responses ar... more

Love this pod but the host must learn to stop with the intrusive “uh huh” “mmm’s” in that uptick voice. It’s so distracting and not good for audio. Otherwise, fascinating information imparted.

  • Could be great, so hard to listen to

This s a show that desperately needs a professional to come in to help the host get a handle on her inability to settle down and just…listen. I am not kidding when I say that literally every few seconds she interrupts the guest with a “uh huh”, “yup”, “mmm”, “got it”. You get the picture. I had to shut it off after a few minutes, despite being incredibly interested in the topics and guests.

  • Nicole Sachs’s interview 03/31/2020

As a physical therapist, I have played this episode more than 500 times for my patients over the past 3 years! I have put together a handout so they can walk out of their appointment and follow through at home. Everyone needs this powerful tool to process through emotions that get shoved down and stuck in our bodies. Nicole has a great way of presenting the information about expressive writing and the humanity that is in us all.
