Great show, looong time listener. I just wish they’d re-introduce guests for those of us who take prolonged breaks when life gets in the way (or for new listeners!). Who’s Monica? Where’s Gidgit? Has TV’s Travis replaced her? Why has the “call now” been replaced with AI messages?

  • A+ banter and topics

The vibe between Scott and Brian just works. Listen to a few episodes and see for yourself; it may take some time to pick up on their personalities, but they are top tier entertainment after you get to know them.

  • Vibe seems off lately

I’ve listened to this podcast for many years, as far back as the 2010s I can remember. But lately I can barely make it through episodes. I feel like the things they talk about is rambling or out of touch, or so very specific to them that I can’t relate. I’ll keep listening to give them benefit of a doubt for a while longer, but the spark once there, seems dull now.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

TMS 2955: The Skittles Response
Q: Wendi, what do you tell somebody who feels this level of betrayal from somebody they thought they knew so long?
You have all of the other sides of this person, right? 30 years is a long time. To know somebody, to think you know somebody, and you know a lot, you do. And so what's happened is you're losing all those other parts because of this one part you didn't know about.
TMS 2954: Spoctor Dock
Q: If I stream a song or video, does it use the same amount of data as if I were simply to download it?
Generally speaking, when you stream a song, you are using a little bit more data than if you have it downloaded.
TMS 2951: Wookie Duty
Q: Will we all rent our computers soon over the cloud?
Tom Merritt elaborates on cloud computing trends and its gradual acceptance, suggesting that while it may not be immediate, a significant shift towards cloud reliance is occurring.
TMS 2948: Dirt Bacteria
Q: What is the best way to let people know about my sexuality?
Discuss your feelings and concerns with someone you trust, start with a supportive friend or family member to gauge acceptance before addressing wider family; consider the potential risks and consequences.
TMS 2944: Alejandro Pokerface
Q: Is it weird to keep a Covid test as a memento?
No, it represents a significant point in history and personal experience during the pandemic.
