  • The interviews and insight are giving me valuable advice for some of my upcoming long races. Especially recommend it for people training for or following the Spine race and Northern Traverse or similar.

  • Stu Westfield - great episode

Really interesting content. I have come across Stu and his races having finished 3rd to Sam at the Peak District South and North in 2021. I also spent a day with him as part of my Spine preparation. Very knowledgeable guy and interesting to hear from a race directors viewpoint.

Holly expresses pride in completing The Speed Project and appreciates the time spent with her crew, reflecting on the personal challenges faced during the race.
Holly Stables | The Speed Project Film And Correct Coaching For Ultramarathon
Q: Can you explain how The Speed Project works?
Holly describes The Speed Project as an unsanctioned race that has no official checkpoints; runners can choose their own route from Santa Monica to Las Vegas.
HOLLY WOOTTEN | Dragons Back 2025 winner!
Q: What's next? What big races are next that you can win outright?
I don't think I'll be doing anything for a while that I'd be able to win outright with. But I do have OCC in the calendar for next year.
JOSH WADE | UTMB 2025
Q: What about nutrition then? Had you sort of altered anything from last year or you've been trying anything new?
No, I didn't alter much. Still, I cut out things at checkpoint, so I wasn't taking on like bananas or I didn't really take on any solid food, actually.
JOSH WADE | UTMB 2025
Q: How have you been then?
I'm happy to take two weeks off and then start training for next year.
