  • Medical care

A doctor, more than anyone, should know that a civilized, rich country should guarantee basic medical care to its citizens, regardless of their status. A doctor calling medical care a “handout” is nuts. What he said about a job giving you purpose, etc is all correct, however. Only an american doctor would draw the conclusions he draws though.
