  • This is the podcast I recommend consistently to people who want to learn about Indigenous worldviews, because this podcast isn't Indigenous people doing labour to educate colonizers, it's Indigenous people talking to each other about the things they love. I have learned so much about the way Indigenous people view the world from this podcast

  • Marginal podcast at best

Every time I catch this on the radio I wonder why, with such a large cbc budget, it is such a terrible podcast.

Every story seems to be making a story out of something that is not actually an interesting story. I am left wondering what the point is other than making settlers feel guilty about being here.

Surely there can be some worthwhile tales of First Nation life to tell.

  • Essential listening if you care about human rights

I have been stunned by the heart-rending testimonies of the victims of appalling abuses of human rights recorded in this podcast, including the deliberate targeting of children and the premeditated destruction of family ties. In the UK the predominant myth is still widely held that the indigenous populations of the Americas were tiny in number and largely affected by the unintentional import of diseases. The prosecution by modern states of cruel policies of ethnic annihilation into the late 20... more
